A pamper massage with luxurious rose oil. Let go and embark on a soothing and relaxing journey through time.
Marie Joséphe Rose Tascher de la Pagerie, born 23rd June 1763 in the rose month of June on Martinique married Napoléon Bonaparte on the 9th March 1796. Disliking the name Marie Joséphe Rose, he rechristened her Joséphine. On the 2nd December 1804 she was crowned Empress and began with the planting of a rose garden in her domicile Chateau Malmaison, later to become the most beautiful roses of the time. Before the fashion for country gardens in the 19th century all but eradicated roses from gardens, Joséphine created a veritable Rose-Euphoria. Neither before nor after Joséphine has anyone had such influence on the culture and cultivation of the rose.
